NWA Backgammon Club

While membership in the Club does not require dues, tournaments are $10.00 per member, with 80% of that amount returning to the winning players after each tournament. Also, for those high rollers out there, we offer a $5.00 side pool with a 100% return!

Of the 80% net tournament proceeds, First Place wins 50%, while Second Place wins 25%. The Winner of the Consolation phase earns the rest or 25% of each tournament's net fees. So bring a friend, somebody's gonna win!

Every player is guaranteed at least two matches. The drawing for each tournament begins on the designated hour. The drawsheet used by the Club allows for "late comers" (or those who are 30 minutes late or less) to play by means of a "temporary bye." However, 30 minutes after each drawing begins, or the bottom of the hour, respectively, the entries close and the remaining "byes" become official.

Our master point system follows the American Contract Bridge League's version of  "point rules" as interpreted by the Chicago Bar Point Club. We accept points from other tournaments you attend throughout  the year, as well as those earned here.* This simply means that the more tournaments you attend, the greater chance you have of earning points!

At the end of the year the Club sponsors an Annual Awards Night (our Christmas Party) where the member with the most points throughout the year wins that year's trophy. Second and Third Place prizes are to be announced!

*Each member must present his or her points earned, the name of the tournament and its club's contact person and phone number.
